Muchi East (M>) is a space for creative work in architecture and design. It believes in a design approach based on strategically integrating the necessary resources to respond to the complexity of our current social, economic and ecological demands.

The studio supports the principle that design is transformative in nature: it is about asking the relevant questions, those with social and cultural significance. Architecture and design must be rooted on a thorough understanding of today's social parameters and cultural status quo. Architecture and design are about deep pattern-finding; they are about finding the links that unfold the synaptic connections capable of redefining our society.

Over the years, the studio has produced work at the scale of the city, the scale of the building and the scale of the object. This equilibrium between public, spatial and tangible -the three drivers that define our work- manifests itself in our ambition to explore different scales of operation and define their specific relationships in a particular moment. The ultimate aspiration of architecture and design is to comprehend the world fully.

The work of M> has gained recognition over the years in a number of international publications.

M> was founded by Enrique Martínez in 2004 as the sequel to his original studio Muchi Muchi, which he established in Providence in 2001.
