Bamboo Park Providence proposed the first educational destination for children in

downtown Providence and the first public bamboo park in the United States. It

incorporated a bamboo growing area, a play and seating area, and an interactive exhibit

area. It contemplated the redefinition of Burnside Park, Providence's largest downtown

public park.
